Sorry for the delay in updating my progress we have had a technical hitch but I think it is now sorted.
Brian and I have now walked through the Lake District and once again have seen some fantastic scenery. Our hosts near Penrith were David and Marcia,  David joined us for a days walk along the trail on the far side of Ullswater whilst Marcia kindly met us at the end with our backpacks. We enjoyed a lovely evening with Richard and Mary in their beautiful Lakeland cottage in Patterdale and they also helped with transporting our luggage to the next venue, which was a very nice hotel in the middle of Windemere organised for us by the Windermere Community church. On arriving we found that Richard had prepaid for an evening meal for us, thanks a lot for your generosity Richard.
On Friday 4th we moved a little eastward and travelled through perpetual rain and eventually arrived in Natland and Lee joined me to start the walk along the Lancaster canal. We stayed with Helen and David in their very comfortable self contained flat before moving on to stay with Dianne from our Heysham Nazarene church. In the afternoon a group from my home church had travelled over for a day at the Heysham seaside and we all met up with our friends from Heysham in their church for a social evening. Thanks to all who came and also to those at Heysham and Thornton for supporting to me financially.
Sunday saw Lee and I staying with Sid who is a good friend of mine and also a very good cook, the meal was delicious, thanks Sid.
On the 7th and 8th Lee and I walked through country lanes arriving first in Eccleston and were ably looked after by Sue and Mark and then along with Anthony who joined us for a day as we walked to Billinge.
