Yesterday (Friday), I reached Knighton. Luke has returned home to attend a family wedding (we made it to the train station for him to catch his train home, with only 6 minutes to spare!) He will join me again on Sunday. So, for today, I have been walking on my own, for the first time since this adventure began.
Along the way, on my walk to Kington today, I stopped at The Stag Inn. The staff and management there were extremely helpful and generous. I enjoyed a great meal and a lovely cup of tea. I even received an unexpected proposal of marriage. Don't worry, Ruth, I politely declined.
