Thanks to everyone who came out to church tonight, it was good to be able to share with you about my walk and the motivation behind it.
Along with Becky, Nate, Elliot and Reuben we have now walked up to table rock, it seemed appropriate to do this walk on Easter Monday as we headed towards 'the cross' at the top of the hill. We all made it to the top ,Elliot searched for insects and small creatures as he walked and we managed to see a lizard and two snakes.
This challenge is my longest walk yet: To walk from John O'Groats to Lands End, 1,200 miles in aid of two worthy causes. 1. 'New Hope Ashton' - A charity which helps people coming off addictions of various kinds and generally wanting to improve their lives. 2. Projects providing fresh water by sinking water wells in the third world.

Now halfway through our stay in Idaho and have done a number of walks around the town and along the greenbelt. It is a good way to get to know the area. Thought I'd go into Boise next week and walk up to Table Rock, it is only a short walk but quite strenuous as it is up hill all the way along an uneven path. I will be able to take some photos of Boise when I reach the top. Thanks for following the blog.

This was our first walk in the USA, about 11 miles. We stopped here for a breather at Wilson's Pond, a popular local fishing point.
Yesterday we walked the Lake Lowell it was good walking weather and very peaceful around the lake. The picture below is the long straight road that leads to Lake Lowell, it seemed never ending on the way out but I guess that's good practise.
Sorry the pictures are side on we couldn't figure how to turn them. Hopefully we'll do better next time!
I have a booking on 27th of this month to speak to a large group of people about the project and hope to generate some interest. Thanks again to all of you taking the time to follow this blog and also to those who are involved in fund raising a big thank you.
